Baker, Pole tweak Reds rotation

Volquez, Harang, Cueto staying on four days' rest.

ST. LOUIS -- A scheduled off-day on Thursday has given Reds manager Dusty Baker and pitching coach Dick Pole a chance to look under the hood of the starting rotation and do some tinkering.
"We revamped some things," Baker said.

He is going to run the young arms into the ground before the season is over.

Actually, I think Baker has been good keeping the pitch count low. I am pretty sure the max that Volquez and Cueto have gone is about a 100.

I think you are right, but I wonder how much of that has to do with the fact that we are usually already way behind by the time they get up to the 100 pitch count mark. Time will tell I guess.
