Votto went deep 3 times in this game as the Reds won 9-0 over the Cubs taking the series from them 2 games to 1.

Volquez got the win improving to 5-1 on the season, he struck out 10 but walked 6 in 7 scoreless innings of work. He threw 118 total pitches.

THE HOME RUN'S BY CINCINNATI'S JOEY VOTTO AND ADAM DUNN WERE HIT BACK-TO-BACK. THE HOME RUNS BY BRANDON PHILLIPS AND JOEY VOTTO WERE HIT BACK-TO-BACK. CINCINNATI SECOND BASEMAN BRANDON PHILLIPS LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE SEVENTH INNING WITH AN APPARENT LEG INJURY.

Hopefully it is a sign of good things to come, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
