Reds @ Padres 5/25

Well, it only took 18 innings to decide a winner and it wasn't the Reds. We had a chance to win it in the 8th and the 10th, but Weathers blew the opportunity in the 8th, and then Fogg (don't know why we used him when Bray was available and two lefties were comming up, but that is on Dusty) blew it in the 10th after the Reds took a 9-7 lead and looked like things were in control.

Patterson was 0-8 the last time I saw his box score, what Dusty's see's in this guy is beyond me. Griffey swung a decent bat, but failed to go deep again. He is 2 round baggers away from 600. It was a long boring game to watch, but I managed to watch most of it. An error in the bottom of the 18th allowed Gonzalez to come to the plate and he jacked a 3 run shot off of Volquez to end things.

Harang pitched a near perfect game from the pen and we used everybody available that we could possibly use. Janish continues to look pretty good, he might be a keeper.

Edwin has really been struggling at the plate again and he failed to move Freel over in the top of the 18th after Freel led off with a single the double play that followed was all she wrote for the Reds.

This one really hurt, and its concerning that we had to use 3 starting pitchers. Are defense is killing us, absolutely killing us. And Dusty needs to see that Patterson can't get the job done.
