Reds are leading 9-3. Jay Bruce is currently 3-3 with 2 singles, a double, a stolen base, 2 runs, 3 Rbi, and 2 walks. Not bad for his major league debut.

Dunn hit his 14th HR of the season and has 4 RBI. He has raised his average up to .256

Cueto should get the win if things stand the way they are. The Pirates have one last chance in the 9th to make something happen.

Affeldt gave up 3 in the 9th to turn things back into a ball game. Cordero is in now for a save opportunity. He nailed it down. Reds win 9-6. Griffey gave Bruce the game ball at the end of the game. Pretty classy gesture.

Walt Jockety, said that this move of bringing Bruce up wasn't going to be the last move the Reds make this year, not sure what he has planned, but some things are going to change with the Reds according to his interview during the game.

After the game, Bruce was given one of the best Pie's in the face (Ross did it, it was a double plate shot that covered his entire mug good) a rookie can get, but he laughed it off and had a good sense of humor about it. You could tell that he is relieved to finally be on the big league squad.

In the last 12 games, Dunn is hitting .421 with 8 Hr's, 18 Rbi, and a 1.105 slugging percentage.
