Perhaps. But I get the feeling he lets the saber guys take him as far as necessary budget wise and then lets the rest of the ole boys club do whatever they want.
I don't see a way out of this mess unless Antonetti has a smarter way of doing things, instead of the veteran heavy approach.
Worse is that they don't even seem to realize when the veterans are slumping (Kearns hasn't been dropped in the order) while they pull the rug out from rookies like LaPorta at first signs of trouble.
The whole thing is maddening. I can't wait until Santana's first 0-10 streak, when he's benched for a week.
Grrr.
