Nothing concrete at the moment, but there is a rumor that the Indians will be bringing back Lofton.

Where was Max going to play ??

Victor/Pronk/Garko are here for awhile... And honestly, I'd rather have them than the unproven..

All 3 can fit that DH/1B role... Vic catches, and Shoppach is an excellent defensive catcher..

I just don't see a role for Max.. Plus, he's been playing single A ball if I'm not mistaken ?? So he's at least 2 years away...

Oh I completely understand that Max is/was blocked, but I thought his value was higher than buying a 40 year old 2 month rental. I love Kenny and really look forward to him being back, I just hope that we dont end up regretting trading away Max for a rental.

I gotcha..I hate mortgaging the future as well.. But, with baseball, I've always been the type of fan that wants the team to go for it NOW.. I just feel it's easier to recover from poor baseball decisions than any other sport..

Giles for Rincon

Burnitz for Seitzer

Ramirez for Lofton

Dont throw those trades out there. Those just hurt.

Although I guess for every "bad" trade we throw out we can also throw out names like Hafner, Crisp, Sizemore, etc... Trades are as much of a gamble as anything.

I hope Kenny comes in and meshes well. Throw a shaving cream pie in his face in his first game here and let him know what this team is really all about... GOOFING OFF!!!
