They have done it a couple times before. I'm believing in them. But I still remember them blowing it 2 years ago.
I don't quite understand that people aren't going to the games. I know that the Cavs run put a bit of a damper on the beginning of the season, but I'd think it would have picked up by now.
I do however marvel at how little attention this team gets in the national media. We've got 2 legitimate Cy Young candidates and could conceivably end the season with the best record in baseball and yet nobody has even noticed.

The city had decades of practice.
This team doesn't seem to be as exciting as the mid to late 90's teams either. I do however expect things to pick up in the city for the playoffs (provided something catastrophic doesn't happen). Fact is, this team kinda came out of no where. Each of the last 2 years you could see progress but the team choked. I guess people didn't want to get emotionally invested this year until they saw how the team would do.

Both Cleveland and Detroit won, so the Indians magic number for winning the division is down to 10. The Angels also lost and it looks like the Red Sox might lose as well. That gets the Tribe closer to actually having the best record in baseball. Cleveland and LAA are now tied for the second best record.

The Tribe, Red Sox and Tigers all win and it looks like the Angels will as well. That means the Indians have decreased their magic number to 9 (either Indians wins or Tigers losses) to win the division. But, that also helps the Tigers in trying to get the wild card. They seem to be playing pretty well right now, but then so are the Indians. I just don't want that Tigers series to matter at all.

Indians win, magic number shrinks to 2 (Detroit won as well)
Now Carmona is 18-8
The Yankees are losing in extra innings, and the Angels are losing in the 6th 4-0 right now. If they lose the Indians have the best record in baseball by half a game and they 'd have several games lead over the Yankees.
