well, for the first time in what seems like forever, the Rockies are playing meaningful games in September, which is very exciting for this lifelong Rockies fan. Hopefully they'll be able to pull out a playoff spot, despite all the injuries to our pitchers.
Regardless of what happens, for once I like what our pitching staff looks like for next year. A starting rotation of Francis, Cook, Hirsh, Jimenez, and then a 5th guy (maybe bring back Rodrigo Lopez or go find another quality veteran). And if we can keep the 8th-9th inning combo of Feuntes and Corpas, I think that helps out a lot with needing the middle relievers less (which is usually what hurts us). Anyhow, yea, just thinking out loud here. But I'm still excited about this year for now. Go Rox!!
