Tigers buy out Edger Renteria

Post#1 » by Liqourish » Fri Oct 31, 2008 6:46 pm

Renteria gone, per wiretap. Tigers bought him out. That's definitely a step in the right direction!!

Hopefully that mean Santiago gets the nod at the everyday spot at SS.

Thanks for the memories, Edgar.

Hopefully we'll be able to forget you and the badass pitcher we gave up to obtain your services.

I think Santiago is the most likely candidate.

Jair: 13-10, 3.68 ERA, 188 innings, 139 SOs, 1.37 WHIP and Hernandez did whatever, and all the Tigers got is one dissapointing year out of a formerly good Shortstop. I would have rather seen Omar Infante be our everyday SS.

Looks like San Francisco picked him up.

I'd laugh, but the last time Edgar went to the AL (Red Sox) he had a similar season as he had with us, then proceeded to play well with the Braves in the NL.

It would piss me off if he had a solid season in the Bay Area this year, but I'd say its quite possible.
