Tigers demote Max Scherzer, Scott Sizemore

Post#1 » by kellmellus50 » Sat May 15, 2010 2:19 am

Tigers have to move him off the team he is awefull and i have seen enough to show him the back door trade him for anything! Does anyone else see the red light ? Trade him back to arizona ?

i just can't watch him pitch anymore, something has to be done!
He has giving up 9 home runs in only 37 innings (are you kidding me!!)

IP H R ER BB K HR WHIP Season ERA
M. Scherzer (L, 1-4) 5.0 6 6 6 2 1 3 1.67 7.29

Scherzer's slide has been down such a steep slope that Leyland was asked afterward if the club might be close to having to make a tough decision in regard to the status of its No. 3 starter
"That's nothing I'd discuss on television after a tough loss," Leyland said. "But it's a good question, a legitimate question

He doesnt need to go. He needs to keep working hard with the pitching coaches. Maybe he should skip a start or go to the bullpen for a bit. But we should not trade him after a few bad starts

Remember this guy started the year allowing 3 or fewer runs in his first 4 starts, with his ERA at 2.62 through 4. And than he got lit up by Minnesota twice, Cleveland and Boston. 3 of those 4 are pretty good offensive teams.

So again, he is going through a bad stretch but that doesnt mean you give up on him

I told everyone he had to go and the tigers listened to me!

Detroit -- The Tigers made two rather surprising moves following Saturday night's 7-6, 12-inning victory over the Red Sox: Starting pitcher Max Scherzer and second baseman Scott Sizemore were demoted to Triple-A Toledo.

Both figured to be big keys to the Tigers this season, and both have struggled mightily.

Scherzer, the hard-throwing right-hander acquired in the December trade with the Diamondbacks, is 1-4 with a 7.29 ERA and has been absolutely rocked in his last four starts

^ well you said trade him for anything. They sent him down to AAA. slightly different

But very surprising. Especially with Sizemore. Danny Worth gets the call up to play second today and they think Guillen (!?) will play it when healthy now.

Lets just hope both of them tune their games down there and come up as new players
