Come on, Fielder. Average and OBP are solid, but we sure didn't pay you 200 million to be a singles guy.

JV struggled. 10-10 now, 7 losses in the last 8. Not going to lie, though we'd be at least + throughout the year.

Disappointing start. There's no way around that.

11-11 doesn't even tell the story properly, though that would be disappointing enough. We started out well and have gone a horrific 2-8 in our last 10. Something needs to change and it needs to happen now.

Wow. Considering that 100 wins, which equals a 61.7% winning percentage, is a high water mark, the Tigers would be 14-8 to be on track for a high water mark. Point being, after 22 of 162 games they're 3 wins short of where you should expect them to be as a "high water mark" team.

Bad loss tonight. Dotel blew the save and it was not pretty.

Interesting game last night, I don't think I've ever seen JV so riled up. The umps were killing me with the calls, I've never seen so many strikes god down as balls in a single game, it was madness.

at least we got the win though

Another dumb loss tonight. Leyland over-managing as per the norm.

Something that I was thinking about tonight is Cabby at third....for such a big offseason story, its gone as good as anyone could have hoped. Nothing spectacular, but man he has been solid there. And he's playing there all the time...has he even DH'd or been removed for Kelly or someone yet?

Alot of frustrations with the team right now, but the third experiment has been a rousing success

A loss to the freaking twins....THE TWINS.....you have got to be kidding me.....

We made them look like an offensive juggernaut, like 7+ extra base hits, probably more than they have had all season.

But its a long season, so all is still well, just disappointing at this point.

Man....I really HATE the Twins

And....another loss to the Twins. Swept at home by the worst team in baseball. Now that's embarrassing. Pitching was awful this series, but defense was worse.

JV was sooooo close to another no-no, shame to see him not get it, but great performance overall, and a much needed win.

Max also looked good getting 15 to strike out swinging. Hopefully a sign of things to come....

Justin is so good. Watching him pitch is truly a pleasure. As for Scherzer....meh. I am not a fan. He had it going on yesterday for sure, and does show those flashes, but he also gave up the two homers and this is a recurring problem for him. He walks too many, gives up too many hits and doesn't pitch deep into games enough.

I love the flashes from Max, but he needs to get way more consistent

For some positive news, Nick Castellanos is tearing it up in the minors. I'm very excited for him, even though he is a few years out. Read and enjoy

I'm betting we move him at the deadline, considering we have 3B locked up. We might move him to right or left, but I see the Tigers going all in at the deadline for a 2B and pitching help.

Man I hope not. I really like Castellanos and lets be honest, Cabby can't play third forever.

The Tigers are a strong candidate to trade young talent for expensive veteran short-term plays. They are far more tilted towards that end of the spectrum than the average team. We are not efficiently leveraged with monetary logic by any means; we run a dismally wasteful operation and in all categories of organizational logic from a strategy perspective. You can't defy the laws of common sense and proven science and expect to find happiness in the end so hoping at this point is awkward considering that type of outlook should apply to when you can't predict or affect the outcome. All the warning signs and clues are there so you should anticipate that type of possibility and expect to be disappointed with that such trade because of the presence of the type of mindset behind those that will make that decision.

I caught the tail end of tonight's game and that was just infuriating (Tigers are my 2nd team after the Jays). We had the bases juiced twice and couldn't drive in a damn run. Unbelievable.

Besides that Hafner dinger, looks like Dougie Fister had another solid outing...and yet another one wasted cuz of the incompetence of our lineup...

Embarrassing loss tonight. I was beyond pissed
