Danny Worth that meshed nicely with his three singles; a hard RBI single to center from Austin Jackson for the first of his two hits; and a two-run double up the left-center field gap by another of the Tigers' stable of rookies, Casper Wells, who also had a single in the third for his first big-league hit.
With the kids providing much of the punch, by the end of the seventh a scoreless game was suddenly 4-0.

We have a shameful record and playoff position and potential for the future with a bloated payroll. I can't justify the Valverde move, it's just more throwing a lot of money to come up with 2nd place. It's inexcusable. You either pay big money and win, or you keep your money. To pay out the money and still fall short of a minimum accepted win total is an embarrassment and a shame, and this team is STILL the #1 worst run sports franchise of all 4 major sports in an OVERALL category.
