Not enough activity to warrant threads for every series like we used to, but a single thread for the season should suffice.

I'm pumped for our season opener tomorrow! Prince and Cabby and JV....should be fun

Too bad JV got robbed of a win after pitching a great game. Not exactly a great start for Papa Grande.

But the Tigers win in an exciting finish; I'll take it.

AJAX looked pretty sweet with his new swing as well, good to see him deliver in the clutch, he is the X factor for this team.

If he can get on base at a decent clip, miggy and prince should be able to bring him home, especially with his speed.

I totally agree, Austin is a huge part of this season. Great to see him get off to a solid start and hopefully more follows

If Austin can maintain a .285+ BA/.400+ OBP this team is going to do some serious damage.

Don't get me wrong--it will never live up to the potential that could be gained by TSE's management, but the team will still be really good.

It really does kill me inside that we know about such an incredible untapped resource that's right here on Realgm but there's no way to convey the message to the F.O.

Our cross to bear, I guess.

Hopefully Fister isn't out too long. :(

Great to see the Red Sox and Yankees both 0-3 to start the season.

And WOW Detroit has some offensive fire power. Can't wait to get out to a game or two later this month.

My feelings so far are excitement with a slight hint of worry about Fister.

Little doubt our offense is gonna wreck people, though.

So who would take the over, and who would take the under on the following way too early prediction:

The Tigers will score 925 Runs this season

Hm, under, too many games in a season.

Bad loss today, feel for Verlander, another great game ends with a no decision. Only this game was a loss for the team. Still, we won the first game in the series scoring five runs all while Porcello pitched a solid game (important that we have a third guy be consistent, I don't think Max will be very consistent, had an awful first start).

Ugly series with the ChiSox, seems like Miggy hasn't gotten a hit in forever.

But on the bright side, Rick looked great, and pulled a W (first one for a Tigers starter I believe)

It was, which is crazy considering JVs numbers. If Rick can take the next step this year it would be huge. I hate the ChiSox, so dropping these was tough to swallow. Miggy will get going again against KC methinks

JV made it interesting again but went the distance. Hitting 100 when he is over 130 pitches is incredible

I was screaming to get him out in the 9th, thought he had lost his control, then he gets a bases juiced strikeout to win the game.

What a ride, I was worried he would lose another game in the 9th, but then I remembered he is not human. What really gets me is how smooth he looks throwing triple digits, as opposed to Zumaya (sp?) who had the most violent release ever.

We got clobbered by the Rangers. Although Verlander's continued success and Smyly's outing were nice to see.

I didn't know Smyly had that strikeout ability, so that was very positive. Texas is real good, so not a huge deal to lose a few

Man, that last game pissed me off.

And jeez the Rangers are good. Too much pitching, too much everything....
