As bored as I am, it's always fun to see what youngins' you have lurking down in the minors, and how it could look if most/all pan out.
I see it something like this. 2010 season
The Infield:
We're most likely see Pudge retire in 3 years. I bet we go the FA route, unless we draft a gem of a catcher sometime soon. I'd say Inge and Polanco will stick around, and we give Shelton the spot at first again. At short, I really like Scott Sizemore. I've seen him play with the Whitecaps, and I liked what I saw.
The Outfield:
Here is where it gets VERY interesting. Ordonez IMO will be gone in 2010, we probably won't hang onto Monroe for that long, and hopefully we'll still have Grandy. Of course we have Cameron Maybin hopefully coming in and being a star. That's two spots. What do we do with the other? Clevlen? The young and fast Gorkys Hernandez? Can you imagine the speed with Granderson, Hernandez, and Maybin? We'd let up almost no shots down the line with that group. We could also try to bring in a big name FA as well. Something to look at.
The Starting Rotation:
I'm REALLY excited about our future pitching. If all goes well, Bonderman and Verlander will still be here in 3 years. Robertson as well. You got Andrew Miller coming up ready to be an ace,
Then you have Jordan Tata, Eulogio De La Cruz, Kyle Sleeth, Jair Jurrjens, Dallas Trahern, and more to name. If just one of these guys pans out and becomes a 12-15 wins, 3.80-4.00 ERA starter, we'll be absolutely set for our rotation.
The Bullpen:
My guess is we move Zumaya to take over Jonesey's spot (I hope). Rodney moves to the primary set-up man, Ledezma, and maybe a guy or two mentioned above. Add some FA's here and there and we're good.
My hopeful lineup:
LF: Maybin
RF: Hernandez
1B: Shelton
DH: FA?
CF: Granderson
3B: Inge
2B: Polanco
C: FA?
SS: Sizemore
SP: Bonderman
SP: Verlander
SP: Miller
SP: Robertson
SP: Tata/De la Cruz
RP: Ledezma
RP: Jurrjens
RP: FA
RP: FA
SU: Rodney
CL: Zumaya
Well, there is my fantasy for today. Always a fun thing to look at.

Jair Jurrjens is currently our second best pitching prospect behind only Andrew Miller, so I'd peg him in as the 5th man in our rotation. Tata will be a reliever if he ever makes it to the show as a Tiger, and DLC's fastball is Matt Anderson straight. I'd also have Jeff Larish at first base and figure Polly will probably be an ex-Tiger by then. With Guillen signing a four year extension he's under contract until 2011, either at shortstop or maybe first base/DH depending on his knee/health.
