A question

Why don't the Tigers move Cabrera to LF? Inge is far, far better at 3rd defensively and has a better bat than Jones. Cabrera's not likely to stay at 3rd for his entire contract anyways.

Why not bench the useless Jones and start Inge at left. You get D out there and a cannon of an arm from the outfield.

or just do what you said. either way i agree

Yes, just simply yes.

Miguel should eventually be the 3rd basemen, but if you got a better defender in Inge...why not. And that way Thames and Jones are bench players not platoon starters....and that alone is a good enough reason.

How about bench Jaque Jones...and start Clete Thomas.

^I like that idea.

Actually, I like any idea the puts Jones on the bench, was thinking about that just the other day.

I'm really starting to see what Cub fans were talking about....

Jones sucks...id rather Inge, Thomas, Rayburn, whoever plays over him. he is useless

I would like to see Thomas over there, if he can't handle left... keep Raburn there.

As for 3rd, Miguel has had some pretty damn spectacular defensive stops at 3rd already this season. And has shown a damn nice arm form there... I see no reason to move him. Inge will continue to be showcased so that a team might get interested in him and he can be moved. I would love for Inge to stay as a utility guy but his ego won't allow it.

Well apparently now Cabrera and Guillen have switched positions. Still doesnt solve the Jacque Jones problem

It helps Cabrera though. Now when Polanco gets back, he'll be surrounded by the foul line and Polanco with Ordonez behind him... not much room for error with everyone covering his butt.

Guillen has played SS and 1B and has shown great footwork and the drive to learn a new position. I think Leyland thinks that he would serve better as the man infront of the revolving door in LF than Cabrera who really needs to support around him.

You're right about Jones though. Raburn is playing much better in LF than Jones and has batted better too. Jones just might lose his spot.

I hope it's not true about Thomas, Clete has played great thus far. :-?
