Pudge gets career hit # 2,500

Congrats, let's see if he can get to 3,000 he says he wants to play longer.
By the way, he's the first catcher ever with 2,500 hits. That's not just in Tigers history, it's also in MLB history.

87 in the history of the game, hes the only active catcher with this much hits, he will most likely become the first catcher in the history of this game to hit 3,000. I'm looking for how many catchers have hit 2,500 it can't be a lot but I'll edit and put it up here as soon as I find it.

Yeah, he's the first catcher in Tigers history, 87th in league history, close to being first catcher with 3,000 hits ever. He's right now I believe 3rd catcher to ever reach 2,500, that's something I heard around I'm not sure if it's official or not. I'm looking it up now.
Edit: He's the first catcher in the history of MLB to reach 2,500 hits.

87th in the history of the game, that includes, 1b, 2b, 3b, outfeilders so on, hes the 1st
catcher to ever reach the 2,500 hit club though.
