Tigers look great, nice pitching only 2 runs given up through 5 and the offense coming alive in the 4+ inning here in this game. Just wish I could shuv these guys into microsoft active sync and make them play like this every day
No, there to expensive for Active Sync how about Microsoft Outlook.

I just love these Tigers right now, nice old fashioned 2 out hits to bring in a few runs.
Nether the less, Miguel picks up 2 more RBIs 4-2 Tigers.

This series is our season. We lose the series, im sorry, but we aint coming back. We need at least 3/4 here
A game 1 win is a nice way to start!

I don't agree because either way I think we're going to miss the playoffs. It's like they kept on saying "Oh we'll catch up we got 140 games to go" then it was 120...then 110...now under 100 left and there 10 games back.
It was a nice game though.

^Yeah, its highly likely we miss the playoffs no matter what.
But if we don't step up soon then I've run out of straws to grasp.

Im not saying we make it either way, its unlikely
But this series is important. If you can sweep or take 3 from the Division leader, you give yourself a fighting chance

First Tigers SP complete game since the no hitter...crazy. Verlander was nasty tonite.
Another big win, i know we're far back, but this series could make me a believer in having a chance

Yeah, me too, while it's a long shot and I said we won't make the playoffs last 4/6 games our offense and pitching has been in "sync".
If we can win you know....pshht.....12/15 games? Some kind of run like that, then I'll be a TRUE believer.
Odd enough, this day last year he hit the no-hitter didn't he?
It was great watching Verlander pump that fist, nothing a lot of good things happened for him thus far this season.

^Even bad seasons have a few good stretches that last a few games contained within 162 games.
Hopefully this is a turn of the tides and isn't simply one of those stretches.

Rogers and Buehrle both pitching complete games through 8, 1-1 score. I hope we can win it in the 9th.

We've got the "good" part of our lineup coming up, not gonna get a better chance than that. Better score here....

Cabrera FTW!
Maybe he saw that I bashed him in the around the league thread and decided to step up!
Now 8 games under and 8 games back. Still long odds, but hey, we don't string wins together very often against good teams.

I'm still pretty optimistic about this season. I know it's a long shot, but I think we still have a decent chance if the chemistry of this team (and bullpen) ever get worked out and healthy. This series was definitely a good start on a run. I'm hoping there is no let-down slacking and this series. 8 games back still hurts, but the way we've played we could very well be permanently buried by now--instead there is some glimmer of hope still there.
