Note: This is interleague play, I have yet to find out what the Tigers lineup will officially be till then I have the most recent lineup posted.
Facts: Marcus Thames has homered in each of his last 3 games. Giants are playing to try to get to .500, no one expected them to be where they are, well, no one expected the tigers to be where they are either. Tigers have won 8/9 games, 6 straight games, the team batting .345 in the 6 game winning streak. Fernando Rodney, may join the rotation in this series, as Zumaya is going to join in the SD series.
There is no DH in this series. Pitchers will take the spots of the DH.
I'm starting to like this font :D
It's also actually easier to put in bold and underline and ect.
Who knows maybe this layout is for the best.

errr....we're playing the Giants not the Pirates
Im excited to watch Lincecum pitch tonite, he'll prolly mess us up. But the Giants suck at hitting, so i have faith we take at least 2/3

What a stupid mistake
Anyway, I think our offense is good enough to beat up Lincecum, if we lose to him, the next 2 pitchers have just been struggling, including Zito who has just been a BUST.

Lol, Thames's last 7 hits are home runs.
Oh, and Cabrera still sucks.

Also, any reason Santiago isn't playing for Edgar today? Gotta be better than this other guy they got out there...

He pinched hit in the 7th and sacrificed in a run.
We lost this game because of Leyland why put Fernando out there right away with runners in the corner and a guy who had been beating up our pitching?
And yeah...Cabrera still sucks....

Okay Marcus Thames life story.
"I hit home runs when I hit the ball, I'm a very strong dude, I'm pretty sexy when I hit a home run and well, I hit it in the 9th and I've hit a home run in 5 straight games,"

Get rid of Jones, as soon as possible, we need a REAL closer, not some guy who's going to give us a fright every time he gets out there with a lead.

If Marcus Thames gets benched for Sheffield when he gets back im going to freak. Thames is insane
Jones is also insane, just in another way. A classic Jones appearence; load em up, set em down. God i hope Zumaya is healthy and becomes our closer; him or that kid from Arizona we just drafted

Steve Phillips thinks he will be a closer for us "very" soon. Thames is incredible right now, Mr. 160 million on the other hand still a bust (Cabrera) and Sheffs career is just crashing right now.

We win final game of series, 7-2, we win the series 2/3.
We're now just 4 games from .500
Never thought after the first month and a half we'd be just 5.5 games back. Which we can very easily overcome with the White Sox and Indians still struggling.

To be fair, Cabrera has been hitting a lot better over the last 10 games or so.
Looking at his season as a whole, he's still a bust (and his fielding still blows), but things ARE improving, at least in one area.
I'm ready to dethrone Jones as closer as soon as someone else is available, and wouldn't be opposed to letting Sheff stay on the bench, either.

I was talking to someone about Cabrera and they thought that he needed to get through the entire AL pitching staff before he could be effective. Cant say i disagree. The NL and AL are vastly different and Miguel needs to see all the stuff he will face. I think his end of the season and entire next year will be very different and much better
And 2/3 from SF is nice. Take away the 8th from game 1 and you sweep though

Still doesn't explain his fielding woes.
He needs to get back on track. They eventually need to try and move him back to third. He's no first baseman, and it shows.
