2 runs in the first, Bonine looks good after 1 inning, Granderson extends his hitting streak to 15.

We've won the 1st game, I hope we get a sweep, that would put us +1 over .500, then it's time to start talking.

The Rockies are just terrible.
Bonine REALLY doesn't have great stuff, but he managed to get Rockies out at a pretty impressive clip. Either the outing can be attributed to the Rockies suckitude, it was a fluke, or Bonine is one of those guys who finds ways to get guys out without great stuff.
I'd lean towards the first one.

Agreed, Bonine doesn't have good stuff...

Maggs goes down...

On the bright side his replacement, Ryan Rayburn, hit's a grand slam

Jones tactics finally backfire, as he blows a save, only to have Miggy Cabrera to double in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth...3/4 last wins have been walk-offs...those were games we were losing earlier.

Oh, it's also nice to be .500 for the first time all year...after 80 games...

Nice game winner by Cabrera.
Still, the typical Cabrera at bat goes like so:
1) Every pitcher in the league knows he'll take the first pitch, so they throw it in for a strike looking.
2) Every pitcher knows that after taking the first strike, Cabrera will then swing at the next one, so they give him crap. Strike two.
3)Once down 0-2, he usually goes down.
Is he stupid or something?
He needs to pull his head out from wherever he's got it stashed and start putting numbers like the franchise player he's being payed to be.

4-3 second game, we're up 2-0 and now a game over .500.
But...
Last team to go over .500 after 81 games, the Yankees, well, they finished the season 71-91
BTW: Maggs is now on the 15-Day Dl

Nice series. Sucks that Mags is hitting the DL, but it shouldnt hurt too bad. The Combo of Sheff/Thames/Clevlen/Raburn/Thomas can handle the other OF spot.

Went to Sunday's game... weather sucked, but the victory made it seem gloriously sunny. I hope I can say my first game at Tiger Stadium... err, Comerica Park... marked the beginning of a long ascent over .500.
