Again, I'm sorry I can't fully post this, I promise this is the last time. :o

Anyway, we lost the first game 5-2, Sheff is batting freaking .234 with runners in scoring position it's so freaking disgusting how our offense could be so weak.

Alrighty, I HATE GARY SHEFFIELD.

I hate the absurd way he pumps his bat before every pitch, so much so that he ISN'T EVEN READY for some of the pitches as the guy throws them.

I also hate how apalling his plate selection has become, taking good strikes and swinging for the fences on lousy pitches. All he ever does is swing with all of his might, like if he justs swings hard enough he's going to magically break through and start batting .330 with a great slugging percentage again.

The guy is washed up and a joke, and getting him after winning the pennant was the beginning of sending this team in the wrong direction. I don't know what he's still a regular in the lineup. I'd as soon sit him on the bench and use him as an occasional pinch hitter.

He's the textbook example of a slugger that gets paid big bucks just a few years too long, and unfortunately the team doing that is us.

Its getting to the point where I hate seeing Sheffield/Renteria heading to the plate. We sent Clete Thomas back down to the minors while he was playing well and yet we stick with Gary/Edgar. WTF??

^I've been at that point for a LONG time.

I fully expect us to let Edgar go at the end of the year and let Ramon Santiago be the everyday shortstop.

I'd also like to see Sheff released in some way, even if we have to pay him. He's simply a waste of a lineup spot most nights.

I won't be able to watch todays game. Extra innings doesn't carry it.

Placido hasn't been very exciting either...I'm not jumping out my seat when he's up to bat. I could also say that about Maggs, Miggy, Renteria, the only person that I really pay attention to when they get up to bat, for some reason is Carlos Guillen.

Wow, the White Sox lost and we lost in the 4th inning! Our pitching ain't bad anymore, it's ugly, it's hideous, it's crap, it's ****, it's everything you can think of bad enough to put next to the Tigers pitching, the offense they, explodes one day...just to suck balls for the next week, this team is now giving me 130 million reasons to not watch them or follow them anymore. OH WAIT I'm sorry our payroll went down a little when we traded Pudge.

This is a hideous game....

It comes down to a ball or strike.

And...

Rays win on a walked batter by Rodney, the ugliest loss in the world.

Sigh.

This could be it.

We can't hang with the good teams and we tread water against the mediocre and bad teams.

It doesn't take a genious to know where that places us on the totem pole, but now it appears obvious that won't be changing with the new half.

Never say never, but you can damn near stick a fork in this season (and anyone objective would say you definetely could).

I'll still hold onto false hope, but I don't see a turnaround here. This isn't a quesiton of guys underperforming anymore, not really.

Sheff is washed up and Edgar can't play in the AL. Cabrera has come around but it hasn't yielded wins. Recent slumps aside, Guillen and Polanco have been okay.

The flaws we have are the flaws we have (and I think we all know what those are), and they aren't just going to go away in the last third of the season or so.
