I got interest for you.
We are now DEAD LAST in the central division.
Does that make us the Knicks of baseball?
Somebody say no.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEBODY SAY NO.
*clenches stress ball and mutters "only a little while till the Pistons start playing again" repeatedly*

Last in the Central makes us the Milwaukee Bucks
Look at the bright side, there are still 8 teams with a worst record in all of major league baseball.

^Yeah, and only two teams with a bigger pay roll (both residing in New York).
This season is one best left behind us no matter how you slice it...
Sigh....
Wonder how they'll try to clean this up for next year.
Ironically, the BIG trade everyone (myself included) was second guessing early in the season (Cabrera/Willis) turned out just fine. The only real folly there was extending Willis.
The REALLY bad trade was losing Jurjens for Renteria. Can't pretend we couldn't have used that guy on our staff this year....
If you have the savvy, the bullpen is a reletively inexpensive way to improve a team, but I don't know if we can manage that this year.

Jurjens for Renteria is a glaring, glaring error. Good god.
On the bullpen bright side, we did this year draft the kid from Arizona to be our closer eventually. I think we picked some other young kids that were relievers too. Maybe give them a shot?

^Anything's better than what we've dealt with this year.
Give ANYONE a chance if it means we might not have to endure another year of Rodney, Fossom, Dolsi and co.

Well the good thing is that the Tigers won't pick up the otpion on Renteria for next season so he's gone!! Hopefully that means Santiago becomes our everyday SS.
Let's work on our starting pitchers and bull pen and I think we'll make good progress from this season.
