Is Guillen going to play? They took him out of yesterdays game with the sore achilles and he's had problems with his hamstrings. Maybe Anderson plays?

Boy, they used to have a pitching staff full of big names, now I don't recognize a lot of them.

Also surprised AJ Pierzynski has lasted this long with any team.

Definitely as important as a series this early in the year can be. Don't want to set the tone of being everyone else in the Central's bitch.

Well it was a loss but I'm seriously not that upset by it. Both pitchers were just horrible in the cold. White Sox hitters just got a couple more to fly out despite the wind than the Tigers. We had a couple chances to take it, but the fly balls to left field were dropping infield instead of flying out.

It was still a great effort overall. Ramon with 1 hr and 3 rbis. How about Josh Andersons first hit and couple rbis of the season? I don't expect a high batting average from Anderson this season because I don't expect a TON of ABs, but if he can use his speed in the OF and pinch run a few times, I'll be happy with him.

We've gotten alot out of our 'little named players' already this season. Laird, Santiago, Anderson, Everett, Larish.... now if we can just get Guillen, Maggs and Grandy really going.

Zach had trouble locating pitches and couldn't get a good grip on the ball. Floyd couldn't either. I don't know how much was the weather and how much was him, so I am going to withhold judgement of the pitching in this game until we can see more of Miner out there.

We're still at 4-4. Danks vs Porcello today. Come on Rick!!!

Game 2 postponed, anyway, at least the Tigers showing a lot of upside will help to watch the Cavs and Pistons "go at it", even though I believe we could win...

I have very little faith in the Pistons beating the Cavs. Not because the Cavs are that impressive, but because the Pistons have been that unimpressive.

Hopefully, tomorrows Tigers game won't be postponed as well.

^For me its that we are that unimpressive AND the Cavs are that impressive.

On paper the roster they have around Lebron is decent, not spectacular, but its tough to argue with that home record. In order to win, we have to become the second team to beat them in Cleveland AND sweep then in Detroit.

Honestly, forget it.

I'll still be watching, but I'm definitely going to be making the effort to transition into baseball over the next couple weeks.

Once the season is over, I probably won't post anywhere but here until Free agency gets going.

Galarraga has been very damn good today.

Josh Anderson showcasing his speed. He might not have great power numbers, but he just looks impressive every time he's out there. He was a very nice pick up.

Up 5-0 in the 6th. Armando might pitch one more inning. I'd like to see Ryan Perry pitch the 8th today.

We really have some nice young players on this team.

haha, I called it. It was a good spot for him. He didn't pitch the last game and we had a nice sized lead. He was having trouble locating his elevated fastball, but he got through the inning.

Seattle next. Verlander, Jackson and than Porcello.

Zach Miner could pitch out of the bullpen for the time being until the Tigers need a 5th starting pitcher, according to Rod and Mario.

1-1 vs the white sox, not too shabby considering the rain out.
