^^
I would like to think so, our bullpen has been o.k and starting pitching has been really good.

Again, I will not have the time to update this tread because I just purchased a new laptop and I'm going to have to set it up.

Well we have Galarraga, Verlander and then Jackson pitching. We should be able to at least take 2 out of 3. Hopefully Edwin is feeling better. Or considering how well he pitched when he was ill, maybe we hope he's not better :D

I would just like to see more improvement from Justin. He needs to get his stuff together and he has looked better each game. Hopefully this one will be the one he gets everything going.

Angels aren't playing very well right now, hate to say it, but the Tigers should kick them while their down.

Late start tonight, means the game should end around 1 am again. :(

We are tied with Kansas City and Chicago for the AL central lead, having a good series here could give up a step up. I know it's still early in the season, but if these three teams stay close, these games could matter at the end of the year.

The Angels have had an awfully rough number of months.

They lost their prized season acquisition (Texiera) and their epic closer (K-Rod) to New York (ouch) teams in the offseason and now they're struggling with the tragic loss of an up and coming pitcher.

As Liquorish said, as sad and unfortunate as it is (I always sort of liked the Angels, ever since 2002), its a good time to be playing a team that would normally be very competitive.

At least I hope so. We need to push further and further away from .500.

Another thing that makes me feel a little better is the general tear the one team that got the better of us (Toronto) has been on so far.

I always thought the Angels were overrated. Without K-Rod and Teix they're a barely .500 team.

Galarraga struggling tonight, at least the offense is giving him support and the defense has been great.

Galarraga had an off night, but still managed to get us through 5 innings with a lead.

I don't understand why Miner didn't stay out there. Leyland said he wanted to stretch him out some before his next start. Yea, he threw 20 pitches in one inning, but he really didn't look like he was struggling that much. Not enough to bring in Brandon Lyon. :x

We finally got Granderson and Guillen going in a game, and no one else could do anything in the batters box. It was just one of those games where nothing was going right, yet we were still in it till the end. The loss stings, but you accept it.

Let's hope Verlander and Jackson fare better.

Verlander had a bad outing. Just couldn't locate his breaking ball into the strike zone. Luckily our offense came alive to pull out the win.

How much do you love Josh Anderson? Ryan Raburn couldn't catch anything in right field and did nothing at bat. Leyland puts in Anderson and our team starts playing good baseball starting with Anderson. This kid needs to play every game. He's just proving to be that good and valuable for us, especially with Leyland using more small ball plays to score runs.

This win wasn't only good for the Tigers for this series, but it keeps them tied with Chicago and Kansas City

I honestly think we'll win the central only if those guys show up, Anderson, Rayburn, etc.

I'm also with you on Anderson, he should be an every day player he really is. I hope he doesn't go into some huge slump though, he might go in a small one.

As for Veralnder, I'm going to cut him some slack (I use that loosely) because it is only his first few starts and he could just be a bit of a confidence problem and velocity problem put together. I hope our staff can get him back together and he'll pick up the slack when he sees the way Edwin and others are pitching.

Our offense has been solid, they've been a bit inconsistent but overall I'm happy with the team thus far.

Josh Anderson is the real deal. Guillen to DH, Anderson to Right. What a concept on the Tigers; speed and defense.

Well last nights game sucked lol

Inge has been beasting at the plate this year. If he can keep it up throughout the season, he's got serious chance of being MIP.

Josh Anderson continues to impress me.

Tigers lost 2 of 3 but are still tied at the top of the AL central because Chicago and KS both lost yesterday as well.

Next series will mean alot.
