Edwin Jackson lost the first game, again, late in the game.
Porcello against Blackburn for the final game of this series.

Carlos Guillen was placed on the DL and Rapada was sent down to Toledo. Jeff Larish and Clete Thomas are now with the team.

Leyland mixed up the batting order. Added alot of youth and speed.

LF Josh Anderson
2B Placido Polanco
RF Clete Thomas
1B Miguel Cabrera
CF Curtis Granderson
DH Magglio Ordonez
3B Brandon Inge
Cc Gerald Laird
SS Ramon Santiago

Let's hope Porcello picthes a good game and the young legs and get us some early runs.

New lineup is lighting it up!!

Clete Thomas is 3-3 with a single, double and triple. Granderson and Cabrera both hit home runs. Anderson has made some good plays. Santiago has flashed his glove at SS and got a big double. Up 9-0 after 4.

Porcello is locating his pitches nicely and gotten some Twins to hit into double plays. Quick work on the mound for him.

Let's hope we finish this game off nicely.

I don't get over here a lot, but man, am I loving what Granderson and Cabrera are bringing this season. Granderson has been my favorite Tiger for the past couple/few years due to being such a fundamentally sound player so it's great to see him do so well right off the bat. And Cabrera looks like he's going to be the money player the Tigers expected. Dude is awesome.

Cabrera is worth every penny. And Granderson has been streaky but when he's patient, he's solid. Our youth is going to be the deciding factor this year.

Looks like Cabrera's back after a brief absence.

Magglio has taken Sheff's place. :(

Well hopefully Maggz can get going against the White Sox. He owns Buerhle as well. Hopefully the two game series gets him rolling.

And going back, Edwin actually pitched a damn good game through 6 innings and than fell apart to start the 7th. He once again, had no run support which made his job difficult. He hasn't pitched poorly but over his 6 starts, the team has only scored 8 runs. So his 3 quality starts have only resulted in 1 win.

Hopefully, Leylandcan move around the lineup to help support Edwin the way he did to help Porcello.
