who do you see us going after closer to the trade deadline? I have a feeling they'll be going after an unhappy starting pitcher.. anybody agree with me?

Our starting pitching is actually fine. We have potentially 8 starting caliber pitchers (when Bondo comes back) with only 5 spots for them. It's the bullpen that needs a shake up.

Yeah, see if a marginal team is looking to dump a solid bullpen guy who isn't getting maximal use because the team never has a lead.

I don't see us adding *major* salary in the form of a big time starting pitcher, and I don't see us looking for offensive help either.

They could go looking for some relievers, though, to be sure. Its the least expensive way to improve a team.

We NEED relievers, I doubt we get another starting pitcher, and anyone have any news on Bonderman?

Bonderman has started his rehab stint in the minors. We'll see how it goes.

Relievers are our main concern...

Seay has been good, except for the last game.
Perry has struggled a little, but has still been good overall.
Zumaya has been good since his return.
Rodney started off hot but has barely gotten out of games lately.
French is new, and I dunno if he'll stay once Robertson isn't "injured" anymore. But we'll see.
Lyon has sucked, big time.
Miner looked better as a started than a reliever, at least this far.

Getting rid of Lyon, hoping French works out... maybe bringing in one top notch reliever, would really help this team.

I think DD will actually make a play for a REAL reliever this offseason, not the mix and match crap he did last year.
