I completely agree with both decisions.

I'm surprised they had the guts to bench Magglio, though. Needed to happen, though.

It's past time. I love Maggz, but he just hasn't had his head in the game all season long so far. He grounded into way too many double plays to keep him in the lineup. When the team is struggling to score runs, we need to bench the guy doubling into outs.

Guillen still isn't back ready to play, Maggz has been off, Willis and Bondo can't stay off the DL. Trade deadline could be busy for the Tigers if DD has the balls to make a move.

And something being overlooked here is how we need to get Clete back into the lineup somewhere. He has been performing much better than Magglio. And I agree with the guy who said they were surprised by them having the balls to bench him. That's the great thing about Layland, he will do anything as long as it benefits his team.

Time to burn the wigs!
