Tigers officials have claimed that Rodney will appeal the suspension. Tigers have mentioned a past incident of the same nature of a tigers pitcher tossing a ball into the stands and not being suspended for it.

Yeah, it's a BS decision. Appealing the decision couldn't possibly move the suspension to the playoffs, could it? In any case, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to just give Rodney a 3 game rest now as opposed to when they are playing in more important games. I would've just sat him out the Royals series.
