The boxscore won't show it but Uggla and Sanchez have done good today. Sanchez was pretty dominate until the 6th when he allowed a 3 run homer. But really, he showed good stuff and that (big) inning was an anomaly.

Uggla has done great at moving guys (usually Hanley) over and driving in runs w/ sacrifices. It's tough for Uggla hitting in the 2nd spot. He has to let pitches (even good ones to hit) go so Hanley has enough time to try and rob. And then he has to look to try and move Hanley instead of trying to drive him in. And if Hanley is on 3rd...he has to try and sacrifice to drive him in.

My point is, with Hanley in front of him and Cabrera behind him....Uggla is going to have very few spots to swing freely. His "boxscore" numbers won't be pretty but his effectiveness and production should be high.

Cabz is much respected in baseball but his media coverage wont ever be on par with his divine stats.

Nationally, Dtrain is more of the 'face' of the franchise than Cabz which is highly absurd.

If we can win today, we'll become the 2nd team in franchise history to start the season 3-0. The last team was the 97 Sqaud.

And Freddi will be the 2nd manager in team history to start a season 3-0. The last was Leyland.

btw Lane, I managed to get a somewhat clear signal.

It'll do for today......

Dtrain's personality and big smile go a long way, I have no problems with him being the franchise face

I really don't care, all i'm stating is Cabz will never be a media subject like Wright or Dtrain.

You guys should use Tank as your closer. Julio is nothing but a dart thrower. He was the same way on the Mets.

I never understood the concept of a closer. Just leave the hottest pitcher in the game.

What a meltdown this would be...

Why is Julio still a closer in the Majors? Seriously, this guy has been a joke everywhere he's gone.

That sucked. A guy with an era over 4.00 can't be a closer. We're going to have to go with a closer by committee system until one guy proves himself.

At least we won the series.

Expect Owens to be the guy who takes the closer's job if Julio continues to struggle.
