DIamondbacks fan in peace.

You guys have De Aza at CF, which is pretty much a hole for you, so what would you give for Eric Byrnes?

after he cools off, a third tier prospect...but i don't think we really need him and we could do much better if we were willing to spend the money...

Wait...did you just say De Aza is a hole in CF? This man plays his position well...covers a lot of ground (needed at Dolphin Stadium) and provides a left-handed batter with speed in the base paths.

He'll prolly hit about .280 5hrs 8trip 20 stolen bases. Not bad at all for a rookie. The only holes we have is Closer and RF. And both holes are due to injury. We have no need to deal for anyone.

Byrnes is a good player tho. I like him a lot.

The question is, why can't I mention his name?

RF, yes. But Closer? No.

Julio was brought in late in camp, and given the Closer position.

There's no one who's hurt right now, waiting to come in and take over the closer position.

Well, I was referring to Tankersly. I always thought that Tankersly was capable to close last year. He was really solid as the set-up man. And since he was a converted starter I thought he also had the mentality to close games. I don't know what the GM or coaches thought about his ability to close but I thought we had a closer in him.

So yea, the team didn't officially have a closer like they did a RF but I thought we did until Tankersly got hurt. Fortunately, he's back and he's going to be able to prove whether or not he can succeed in the 9th.

With our luck at getting relatively unknown players to play well, I have a feeling he's going to be good like the Ugglas, Willinghams and De Azas of the team.
