If he were to get traded, what kind of package could the Marlins get in return? I've read rumors of the D-Backs interested, so would they offer Chris B. Young? Would that be a good offer to begin with?

Marlins keep reiterating he is not on the block

you'd need to start with 2 or 3 major league ready prospects, including a catcher and CFer

For a catcher, would you consider Seattle's Jeff Clement? He was the #3 overall draft pick in the first round in 2005, started slowly at Tacoma but has been hitting great lately (15 homers this year and an OPS moving upwards towards 900), a lefty bat with 25- or 30-homer power and maybe more. The drawback is they don't know if his defense will be good enough. If he can catch at all he'll be an All Star, a poor man's Piazza. If he has to move to a different position then his value diminishes.

I know he's not enough to acquire Willis by himself, you'd need more, but at least he's a catcher, at least for now, and he's pretty much major-league ready.

I know the regulars on marlinsbaseball.com, the main Marlins message board always talk about Clement as someone they like

I'd rather deal Olsen. The man's a punk.
