Re: Marlins Release McPherson
no he was a 29 year old who has played a half a season in the big leagues... he hit 40+ hrs in the thin air of Albuquerque last year, but he probably he is a career Crash Jensen
strikes out an awful lot, lot of power

I was probably confusing him with another prospect of ours at 3B then. --- Thanks Lane!

no no, he was a "hot shot prospect" at plenty of times during his time spent w/ the Angels and his short time spent with us...and he's 28, not 29 btw...
I didn't understand the move on our part unless he asked for it - we were paying him almost nothing. The giants picked him up after we dumped him...i read that they expect to see him in the big leagues real soon.

Re: Marlins Release McPherson
he was out of options so he couldn't be demoted, and they added a more versatile lefty in Gload who had experience pinch hitting and plays both corner OF spots and 1st base... I don't blame them. They wanted to keep Bonifacio, and had Helms signed through next year, he had no spot on the team.
