time for a change

Post#1 » by ClutchCityIsBaK » Thu Apr 26, 2007 8:58 pm

Wow. I dont know about ya'll but i watch the Astros every game. And last nights game and today after noon's game were just horrible. Last night we left i think 17-20 people on base and Ensberg himself left 10. Today we have the bases loaded with no outs and can't score..For cryin out loud WANDY picthed his ass off and deserved the win. Loretta had a good game and went 4-4. Berkman is starting to swing the bat well and Lee is slumping a bit but he will be fine. They can't do it all though. We need some more pop. I know everyone loves Biggio....and he will get to 3,000 but we cant sacrifice a season for an individual milestone. We need pence in the lineup. It's time...

Hunter Pence OF AVG .342 with 3HR 44 total bases 19 RBI in 20 games.
Put him in center and if they wont take out Biggio then maybe its not Burke's time yet...he will be at 2nd next year anyways...

and i don't know who this Stephen Randolph guy is but he is tearing it up in round rock pitching-wise.

He is 2-0 in 5 games with 18 k's 0.84 ERA in 10.2 innings...i guess he is a reliever but i havent heard much about him...maybe we could use him??

The Astros are known as slow starters but the difference between previous years and this one is that our pitching was always there...now its a big question mark after Roy. Purpura needs to figure it out quickly..

I have no issues bring Pence up, but only to replace Burke and leave Biggio at 2nd.

Burke is crap IMO, I'd love to see Pence in CF batting in the middle of the order, or 2nd perhaps.

Disastros!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Pence should be here now, Chris Burke is just not getting the job done, he is a very poor outfielder, he drops balls, and is not playing good, I guess the Rockies got the better end of the deal in the Willy T. deal I guess.
