I think Lidge threw up himself when he learned that Wheeler took his job.

He is fallinga apart right in front of our eyes. Deja vu?

- Athletics ninth.
- Lidge pitching.
- Kotsay homered to right on a 0-2 count.
- Ellis doubled to right.
- On wild pitch by Lidge, Ellis to third.

I'll give the man props where it is due. He had an impressive recovery. That homer could have been devestating to his confidence and it appeared that things were going to get a lot worse but he settled down.

- Swisher struck out.
- Er.Chavez struck out.
- D.Johnson was intentionally walked.
- Bo.Crosby popped out to shortstop Everett.

Somebody, and I forget who, was talking about Lidge and him reclaiming his closer status, and said it was more important to see him blow a save and how he recovers from it, than to see him just dominate like he used to.

Well, he blew his first chance, but it looks like he recovered damn fine? Maybe it is just one of those days, after all he hadn't given up an ER in like 20 innings before tonight right?

He should be ok, and atleast we won. Old Man with only 17 more hits to go! I hope the 3 hits tonight helps him break out of his slump.

And lol about Chan Ho Park....
