Biggio elected to Hall of Fame!

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Tue Jan 6, 2015 7:59 pm

Congrats to one of Houston's greatest professional athletes, Craig Biggio. He will, along with Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez & John Smoltz make up the 2015 Hall of Fame class.

Still no love for Bagwell from the Baseball Writer's Association.

I still wish that Nolan would have gone in as an Astro, but we can't be more proud to have a guy like Craig Biggio as the first Astro in Cooperstown.

Finally a reason to actually go there!

Very awesome news indeed for such a great player and a class act for so many years. I was always more of a Bagwell fan(and later on Fat Elvis and the Wizard) but have nothing but respect for Biggio and what he meant to the organization and the city for such a long time. I always loved how he played the game and how he never took it for granted.

Still, Bagwell belongs in the Hall right next to him and it's a shame they didn't get in together, though hopefully he will get his soon enough.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I'm really hoping that Bagwell joins Griffey & Kent in next year's class.

As for Biggio - any chance that we can get the signature helmet on permanent display in Minute Maid Park?
