Houston Astros 2017 Game Thread

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I've barely been able to pay attention to this team so far due to other stuff going on. Looks like a good start, even if the bats are not awake yet.

This should be a fun season!

McHugh is being shut down for 6 weeks.

Ouch!

Still, it is better to get it over with now and not let it linger.

Ya that sucks about McHugh, but it's early in the marathon and they have enough pitching to be okay, IMO. Especially since, as you said, the bats have not risen yet...but you know that will come.

That sounds pornographic.

Anyways, carrying on...it's kinda fun seeing people inevitably already freaking out about the hitting being off to a slow start, and Giles, and saving the whales whilst shooting the seals...well, most of that stuff, minus that last Cheech and Chong flashback.

How about that Springer dude, and that bearded beast named after a city that shall not be named?

This team is and will be a lot of fun to watch, damnit!

Springer is going to be a legit superstar.

And I move that we refer to this bearded one as Houston Keuchel.

Carlos Beltraitor is always a jackass (pardon my language, no other way to describe him) to me, but other than him the Astros' offense will look fantastic this year. Altuve, Springer, Bergman and Correa... that's a promising 1-4. :D

Very fun team to watch, my friend. The lineup is sick.

That lineup is very well balanced! There's not that weak spot that we've seen so often with the Astros lineups.
