Which is killing us?

Post#1 » by FreedomFighter » Sat Apr 7, 2007 11:27 pm

Hitting?- we cant put up any runs

Pitching- Our starters have looked good, but the bullpen has lost it for us.

Honestly, I'm not really worried about either, because with the proven hitters we have in the middle of our lineup, we WILL score runs.

And regardless of the bad outings, Qualls/Wheeler/Lidge USUALLY(more often than not) get the job done, and Borkowski is usually pretty solid as well. We also have some good arms in AAA I believe who we can go to if things go bad.

Really though, if our offense gets going(it will) we won't have to rely on the bullpen to be perfect so often.

It's not the lights out 'pen we've had in the past but it will still be pretty consistant IMO.

I hope I'm right ;)

Hitting, and a pitching staff except Woody has done great, but I think its the bullpen.

A lack of suitable snacks for Lee and Berkman is obviously the real problem here. They need motivation. Back up the hostess truck to the dugout and the homeruns will come...trust me.

Fat Elvis has left the building(to get more twinkies).
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.
