Bourn sounds like he could be a solid addition. Let's face it, we're not really in a "win now" mode, we have to rebuild with some younger players and still try to be competitive, something I think we can certainly do, and even if it takes a year or 2:

Bourn, a left-handed hitter, batted .277 as a rookie this year with one homer, six RBIs and 18 steals, seeing limited time as a defensive replacement in an outfield that included Pat Burrell, Rowand and Shane Victorino. Hunter Pence will move to right for Houston.

"We receive a speed center fielder, a top of the order bat, who we think has the ability to be a catalyst for our club for a long time and hopefully set the stage for Hunter Pence and (Lance) Berkman and Carlos Lee to drive him in," Wade said, remembering when Bourn won a race among prospects at the instructional league after the 2004 season. "He's an outstanding athlete."

Can't say I'm surprised, Lidge has been up and down for a while now and I figure it's time to move on, though it does rather suck. Watch him regain his form with the Phils ;(

Anyways, hopefully this Bourn guy can be solid playing every day. It would give us a decent leadoff guy with speed, who can hit for decent average, steal bases, play good defense(lets us move Pence to RF). We get a decent relief guy and a 3B prospect who has put up decent numbers in AA. We need to keep trying to bring in some young talent like this in order to not only be competitive next season(I can see us doing that), but 2-3 yrs from now as well.

I just want to add that I hope Lidge has battery-protected uniforms.

He will probably need them.

Personally, just from my point of view, Roger can go $%@! himself.
