Astros sign Shawn Chacon

ESPN - Pitcher Shawn Chacon has agreed to terms with the Houston Astros on a one-year deal, according to the Associated Press.
The deal is reportedly worth $2 million.
he has some versitiliy to pitch as a starter or in the rotation, anyway it goes i think he can help us..
he had a good season last year

I remember him pitching pretty well for the Yankees a few years back too so he has the potential to be decent.
Nothing special, hopefully he can be a solid part of the rotation/bullpen but we shall see. I like the signing considering how little pitching is available.

he was an all-star with the rockies, but he has problems with his control, but i hope he pans out in our thin rotation

So apparently Garcia still isn't signed. I wouldn't mind us grabbing him, he should come cheap so it's a low risk move. If he's healthy he can still be "decent"(you never know). It sure wouldn't hurt considering our lack of depth in the rotation and the thin availability of pitching left out there.

ya, i wouldnt mind signing him to compete for a starting pitching job...but i wouldnt over pay for him

who? lol god I wish the 2004 Astros team was still with us, that team rocked the world...I mean come on..Bagwell, Kent, Ensberg, Everett, Beltran, Biggio, Berkmen...
And then pitching....Clemens, Pettite, and Oswalt....can't believe we lost...
