Astros release Woody

Houston Chronicle - The Astros released Woody Williams on Friday.
Williams, who will make $6.5 million this season, was not immediately available for comment.

imo, this was a dumb move, we should have just let him play this season so we can be cap friendly after the season. we owe him 6.5 million this season

Thank goodness. Woody Williams is a Top 2 worst pitchers in this league along with Jeff Weaver. Perhaps they are looking at Claudio Vargas who needs a job?

Woody was god awful, but our pitching staff can't get any worse, we have hit a bottom low.

I really hope we have some ideas, or answers to the pitching for this team... Who is down in Round Rock that could come up?

felipe paulino is the closet major league ready prospect we have in the minors, but he is injured
