Astros vs Reds(2-game series Wed. 23 - Thurs. 24)

Post#1 » by RaoulDuke79 » Wed Apr 23, 2008 7:06 am

Tomorrow we got Sampson looking to rebound from a terrible start vs Arroyo who should probably stick to music.

The battle of the 0-2 pitchers and 2 mediocre ballclubs. Who will be victorious? Only time will tell.

It would be pretty cool to keep this little win streak going and get to 10 wins though!

GO ASTROS.

p.s: I would put more effort into these threads but we all know there is no reason to bother....
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

3 wins in a row! 10 runs and 11 runs in the last 2 games. Hopefully we can keep it up. It was nice to see them hit the ball around against a good pitcher.

INDEED. The offense has looked nice lately. I must admit Matsui has looked better than I assumed he would so far, and Pence seems to be getting it together somewhat.

I hope Sampson can bounce back from his last outing. I expect he will because he's not that bad but we shall see.

5-1 Astros in the 4th, nice. The offense has really gotten it going lately and Sampson has looked decent so far, let's hope they keep it going!

Yea it does.

Our pitching has had it's hiccups but overall it's been pretty solid, as has the defense. I like how we can bring in Cruz late in games to play defense, our outfield has some range now. With our lineup and defense, maybe we can actually be competitive. Not division/WC winner good but competitive, who knows.

I REALLY like how that 7 run inning mostly came with 2 outs. We had like 5 or 6 2-out hits in a row. That's fantastic.

If nothing else they may be pretty fun to watch this year.

It's weird but, 2 of the 3 games we lost to SD were 3-2, and 2-1, and then that Valverde disaster against Philly.

We could and should be 13-9 right now, the way we're playing ATM.

Just a thought. Maybe this team isn't THAT bad after all?

Probably going to get Cuetowned tomorrow but we shall see. I'm looking forward to seeing that kid pitch. Early game tomorrow, guess I gotta get up before noon!

Cassel vs Cueto in about an hr. Yay for early day baseball!

Let's hope the bats can get something going against this guy.

Geez, the 2-out hitting continues, as does Lance's ownage of the Reds. 2-0 off his HR.

The rest of the Astros will get Cuetowned. Griffey needs to hit one out of the park. :)

Since Cueto is not helping my fantasy team, Astros can win.
Griffey needs to hit a HR though. He needs to get to 600.
