surprised me....but i can admit I'm ignorant of TJS.
i thought since Crawford wasn't a pitcher and didn't need as much torque as a pitcher does everyday that TJS wouldn't affect him as much....and i thought he'd at least be ready to throw and hit the cut off man at this point in the game.

at least he's been swinging the bat.

yea.
it seems like the only thing that's slowing him up is throwing. But how realistic is that? I'm sure that would leak into his hitting.

it's going to suck because Kemp will be experiencing a power outage early on until his shoulder is fully healed.
he's going to be rehabbing his elbow and I'm leaning towards your thoughts that he'll miss the 1st month.

a lot of leaning on Hanley, A-Gon and Ethier early on.

i have 0 expectations from April-June.
but we should have picked up some steam headed into the all star break at minimum.

baseball is a funny game tho. while we have a power outage, our pitching could dominate. kershaw will be his usual self, greinke will want to prove he is worth every dime, and looks like ryu is impressing people left and right at the camp. didn't hear much of beckett yet but his stats indicate this will be his up year. if billinglsey can hold up for a month until we get our power hitters back, we can go through the rotation like we have an ace every game.

as for our healthy power hitters, until kemp is 100%, we can sport ethier-hanley-agon as 2-3-4 with kemp hitting 5 and mark ellis/skip shue-y platooning as our lead off.

i am so pumped up just to think that the opening day is only about 40 days away. i love my clippers, and keep up with my radiers but baseball is my religion and dodger stadium is my vatican. i make my pilgrimage at least once a year from wee state of oregon.

2 peas in a pod bro.

i love the Clips n Raiders but Dodgers are #1.
i want to go to opening day so bad.

let's talk billingsley.
after reading that the team has kept tested him during the winter...that he's thrown a couple of simulated games already...I'm starting to get my hopes up that he'll be healthy this year.

if Chad is going to be healthy.... :cuddle
Kershaw, Greinke, Chad, Ryu Beckett

i don't know if i am the only one, but i think ryu is going to blow up this season and all these talks about him being overpaid will overnight become reversed, and the BSPN pundits will start talking how underpaid this guy is for the next 6 years.

when it comes to billingsley, i am not as hopeful in a long run. i think when he is healthy, he can be a devastating middle of the order pitcher who can dominate, but i have not seen too many partial tear of ulnar collateral ligament which require a TJS come back healthy less then a year after avoiding the surgery. only person i can think of is satchel paige who blew up his arm and took 2 years or so to come back pitching at all, and that was before the days of TJS and he had no choice. i think he can, however, muster a few starts in april to get us by. i am actually thinking our rotation will go from

kershaw-greinke-beckett-ryu-billingsley in april to

kershaw-greinke-ryu-beckett-harang by the time when billingsley's arm blows out.

So apparently Crawford has had a setback and might not make the opening day game.

this is sort of great news to me.

YASIEL COMING UP?

i thought puig's throw from the right field to 3B to make an out during ryu's outing was excellent. we are paying him a fortune and he is on 40 men roster, why not try him out while crawford is out. if crawford doesn't get himself back in health soon, he may become our version of vernon wells and will be relegated to being a 4th OF. i really believe in Yasiel.

having said that, with all my hopes aside, jerry hairston is most likely candidate to fill in while carl is out.

Nice outing for Kemp last night... Good to see him back. Lets hope he's been sitting back watching Puig take all the headlines and getting pissed.

But as a general thought, who would you rather the team take their personality from, Kemp or Puig? I know Kemp is the logical top dog, but I like Puig's slightly out of control swag.
