This is why I liked the acquisition of Yu.

Stuff
Stuff
Stuff
Stuff and more stuff.

You may be on to something with him having the best stuff in the MLB.

Undoubtedly you can have stuff and faulter in October but boy when it’s harnessed, you become a tough day at the office for the opposition.

I mentioned that I prefer these types of acquisitions that have upside because the tools are there and the tools are not diminished even though the overall performance might be.

I prefer these type of acquisitions to the Granderson, tool lacking type trades where we are valuing guts, instinct, “professionalism” and maybe a months worth of splits to justify it.

One can easily turn to ****. One can turn to 11.1 innings of 1 ER baseball.

One last thing. In the park, I did not realize how good a game Taylor had.

I def was aware of the homer and the triple but I didn’t put it all together until on the taxi ride home.

Him making that out at home did piss me off though.

I really hope we can sweep Chicago tonight. Hopefully we get Alex Wood of the middle of the year.

I hope we sweep too.

I dont want any lingering thoughts about whether we can close them out.

I am not worried one bit about our chances of winning this series, but this is one game I am worried about losing. Alex's performance has declined significantly after a hot start and at this point of the season, nothing is for sure. and if the last 3 weeks of time off did give him some freshness, then I am worried if he is too rusty as his last start was 9/26.

We were. I forgot to mention that in my post as I got distracted by news of the Gordon Hayward injury. Yikes.

goddamn it I saw that injury picture at work today. sick stuff! man I am glad NBA has a strong union and their contracts are fully guaranteed. I know the report states they expect full recovery, and Paul George's broke leg looked even worse, but PG13's injury was just a long bone displaced fracture that looked terrible but bones heal. Gordon tore off everything in his ankle along with breaking his tibia. I am not sure if he will be ever 100% again. I kinda had a Ron Harper moment when I saw that. Hollywood was never the same after his knees tore up.

I am on Sling so I will be behind again.

I’ll post from my phone but read your responses in between innings.

Come On, Belly

Post#1035 » by Ranma » Thu Oct 19, 2017 1:08 am

Arrieta doesn't look sharp. I know he has movement on his pitches but most of them have been out of the zone with some way outside of it. Bellinger goes down swinging after whiffing at 2 that were really outside.

Damn.

Cody went way out of the strike zone for 2 swinging strikes.

If Alex wishes to keep his roster spot for the WS, he better not perform like the last couple of months of the season.
