Clay's got 77 PC. I say he's had enough for the night. with Jansen and Morrow accounting for 6 outs if needed, it is 6 other outs our pen has to cover with 8 runs to spare.
ehhhhh f it.

Yeah... That's literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard in baseball... Juiced ball era, etc... Plus it was the freaking 3rd inning... Maybe we could talk if it was the 9th.

not hearing, you can see it isn't sharp.

didn't mean to sound like an ass, but to elaborate on what I meant, his break on the slider is still there, but the location is off and he isn't able to control and it is missing the target by nearly a foot. and the break is on a single plane with expected slow downward fall by gravity without more active vertical movement, unlike his usual slider that has both horizontal and vertical breaks.

Honestly, it's not just his slider... He's struggling a little bit placing all his pitches... I think he got some favorable calls on fastball strikes too.
Still though, when he's struggling, it's like a good night for a lot of starters...

he was much sharper in the first inning. then a couple of perfect pitches hitting the edges were called balls which ended up walking Kyle Swine. since then he has regressed each inning with his control. this is the reason why I promote robo ump and computerized strike zone.
ehhhhh f it.

I have been saying this since this series started. Ron Darling is a baseball illiterate. I don't care if he was a major leaguer for 13 years. **** this idiot.

oh man Dave is sending out Kershaw here. if Clay gives up a couple of solo HRs and loses his confidence, I will start a fireDave online petition the way I did with Donnie balls.

The 2017 POSTSEASON thread.

Post#1374 » by Quake Griffin » Fri Oct 20, 2017 2:15 am

Did not notice Ron complaining about that.

Incredibly stupid.
If the Cubs could hit an 8 run homer to tie this and embarrass us, they would.

Eff them til it’s over.

and let me clearly explain what I meant that a 13 year major leaguer is a baseball illiterate.

Michael Jackson was the self proclaimed "king of pop" with merits in terms of his popularity and talent.

Lionel RIchie was a grammy winning singer/song writer.

Metallica is the biggest name in heavy metal.

none of them can read sheet music. they were musically illiterates.

Ron may have played the game, but he cannot understand the academics of the game.
ehhhhh f it.

Postseason Live-Game Workout

Post#1376 » by Ranma » Fri Oct 20, 2017 2:17 am

Honestly, I think Kershaw is fine. I think he's just working on the feel of his pitches and he seems to be moving fine in fielding and throwing to first on that bunt. I'm not saying that he pitch a complete game but it seems like he's pacing himself with a workout mentality.

Looks like Shaw's done... Kind of a shame... He still looked good, but I guess we want to save him for next series.

we have to. Clay has gone 6 innings now. we only have 9 outs to make with 8 run lead. we owe it to him, whether he wants it or not.
