It's just hard to watch a team under-perform this bad... I just got done watching my Lakers suck all season, but that was OK, because they had no real talent or expectations... I thought this would be a season we built on the momentum from last post season and turned ourselves into something special...

But so far, we're not even as entertaining as last season. Not a huge confidence builder for fans of the new franchise...

we were 30-42 when we started making our run last year. It tripped me out looking back on it because I almost forgot that we were .500 at the all star break/ that feeling I had when we finally became .500

we're ahead of schedule.

The season is only going to be a couple 15-5 runs (give or take the number of wins) and the rest .500 baseball.
that should have a team at around 20 games above .500 and 90+ wins. So while I'm not asking for 42-8. I think we're hanging in their just fine until we can knock out 15-17/20.

The Giants have blown 6 out of 7 during their home stand here and theyre going on the road now. We're not looking THAT bad as of today if you ask me.

Kershaw looks like he's back.
Haren has been pretty good in his last 4 or 5 starts.
I think we're in ok shape man....good enough to catch SF by the ASB.

The Rockies just swept the Giants and pulled off come backs late in the game for all of the games.

Our bullpen must be on point this series.
The Giants have 2 at the Chi-Sox, then 3 at Arizona. We have a chance to gain some ground I believe.

last year, Hanley was statistically one of the top hitters, led the league in slugging percentage for hitters with minimum 300 at bats. despite the early spark by Agon, he was better, and steadier last year. Uribe was actually good and wasn't hurt last year. on top of all that, Puig gave was the shot in the arm.

this year, both Hanley and Agon are slumping badly so far, Uribe is hurt, Puig is pretty much alone in the lineup. the second best offensive player statistically is... Dee Gordon, said enough.

I vehemently disagree with the call on the field regarding Dee's triple and an error. they called the error on Blackmon on not the first play, but the second play when he dropped the ball after it already bounced off the wall in left field foul territory. even if Blackmon had gloved the ball cleanly and threw it without dropping or slipping, no way Dee would have been out at home.

that is an inside the park home run.

I know statistically, we're close to where we were last season... But with all the money we spent and all the talent we have, lateral feels like a loss to me... I'll give it more time, but this team doesn't feel like it has what it takes to go deep, and I think that was the expectation.

oh no, I am not comparing this season as being comparable to the last season, we are actually highly disappointing than last season because we had a instant spark that was Yasiel Puig waiting in the minors, and we still do, in forms of Joc but no sight of him being able to come up this season.

I blame Ned the most. he, historically, have given out terrible big contacts, from Jason Schmidt, Andruw jone, Juan Pierre, to current batch of Kemp, Ethier, and trading for Crawford. I would think considering the contract, AGon and Beckett are a wash. no small deal success like last season's Mark Ellis or this season's Drew Butera can recoup how badly Ned Colletti has given away big money.

but I think Donny Softball is just as guilty. he has not been able to place our talented players in a place to succeed. the veteran outfielder situation has been very telling of Don's inability to manage a national league club.
rather than to sacrifice just one player, he has ruined all 3 veteran outfielders in a questionable rotation. i don't get why he still runs out Brian Wilson in a hold situation in 8th innings when he has Howell and League at his disposal. I don't get many moves Ned and Don make, and it's not ilke their moves are translated into us winning.
ehhhhh f it.

well Hanley looks like that will have him out for a couple games.

put him on the DL so we can call up Erisbel again. DAT GLOVE!

edit:
5 out. Last wek we were 9.5 out.
feels alright. Wish Kenley could have a clean and dominant 9th for once.

and I do want to point out that we have the 4th best record in the National League at this point....i get it, not good enough. But only the Giants, Cards (up a game and we've played 2 more than them) and Brewers are ahead of us at this point.

Hanley has made it back into the lineup tonight despite hurting his ring finger yesterday.

The Giants have lost again.
Kershaw on the mound. we have a chance to be within 4 at the end of tonight.

well we are up 7 - nothing right now with Clayton on the mound. I want to see us continue the winning streak with our 4th, 5th starting pitchers on the mound.

but yeah, we are sweeping the Rockies who just swept the Giants. this is a vey good turn of events.

Greinke is pitching great, which is a good news. but since Greinke is pitching great, it is obvious that he will opt out at the end of this season for more money, which is a bad news.
