our defense doesn't treat clay worth a damn.

hey what do we expect when the most important defensive position in our infield is occupied by hanley ramirez who couldn't get a playing time at SS during world baseball classic, and lost his job at his previous team.

never understood why don committed to him at SS anyway.

but then again, it may just be thing #178 on Neddy's long list of reasons to fire him.

agent?

to be 100 % honest, hanley is only marginally below average at SS defensively, but down right horrible at 3B according to advanced defensive stats. so it can be argued that we are better off with marginally below average defensive SS than a far below average 3B out of hanley as his primary replacement from AAA scored the worst out of all qualifying major league short stops in dee gordon.

it's not clayton, it's our dumb offense. 7 SOs and 6 Hits given up in 5 innings aint that bad, even with 2 BBs. he only gave up 2 Runs. meanwhile our offense was able to accomplish exactly 0 runs during the same span. jason marquez has a no hitter going despite only getting 3 SOs.

this would be a great time for Donnie to pinch hit for Kershaw.

let's see if he does it this time.

no worries brotha.

life calls when life calls.
we needed that win.
a sweep would have meant a whole lot to this team. very disappointing to lose Kershaw's last 2 starts at Chavez

it seems more than just accident that our offense shuts down when clayton is pitching. maybe it's a psychological factor? are the batters getting less aggressive with kershaw because they feel they can afford to score less and still win? not sure what but we are wasting too many of his outings.
