So imma chill here since the Snakes forum is deader than Heath Bell's fastball...
Thx for the lovely beatdown, assuming Puig/Hanley can keep up even 75% of what they're doing it should only be a matter of time until ya'll run away with it. Hoping KT doesn't do something stupid like (trade for Heath Bell) errrr give up the farm for Stanton or Price. We need to ride it out with our prospects to counter LA for several years.

Re: Official 2013 Games Thread, In honor of Orthopedic Surge
i don't think puig and hanley can sustain their .400 BA rest of the way, but it sure is fun watching both put up some video game numbers in such small at bats so far this season. we wouldn't be anywhere near .500 if it wasn't for those two, along with 3 top of the rotation pitchers.
i am usually not very fond of division rival fans, especially the giants for the obvious reasons, but you are alright, thanks for your classy post in our also dead forum.

Re: Official 2013 Games Thread, In honor of Orthopedic Surge
i think it's really rich that the Diamondbacks are complaining about Puig.
stfu already.
u threw a pitch at the kid's nose and are mad he wont be calm about it. I'm glad he is playing with a chip on his shoulder...particularly against the diamondbacks.
Yea he made an aggressive play against you montero...he didn't tackle u at the plate and injure you...get the hell over it.

i find it funny that a steroid abusing cheater like luis gonzalez is the one to ask for "respect" out of this kid. unless puig is also juicing, i believe yasiel has all the rights to dismiss and disrespect any player who cheated this game of baseball as much as he wishes.

Re: Official 2013 Games Thread, In honor of Orthopedic Surge
no doubt on Luis. I posted something about him cheating in the main forum's season thread not too long ago.
i find it funny the backs hate the way Puig plays even though they have a guy like Gerrardo Parra on their team.
anywho. I find it even more funny that Greinke's ERA has dwindled down to 3.36 and seems to only be getting better. When we gave him the money, I thought I'd be happy if he put up anywhere from 3.15 and below.

starting to warm up to miguel alfredo gonzalez signing with the dodgers. didn't like his arm surgery history but seems like many scouts and GMs are enamored by this guy. i trust logan white's decision making skills.

was it TJS or something else?
I like it if we get him because it's a cheap alternative to adding a solid starter to our roster and his age means he wont compromise our international signings for the 23 and under crowd.
Kasten promised a pipeline.
it's looking like he will deliver one.
btw...if we complete this sweep and take over 1st...the entire NL is on notice.

i believe it was. but it was nearly 2 years ago, so it is on time for a complete healing. hopefully he is healthy, and he is the age he says he is.

Not even going to think about that right now... Not saying it either.
It feels good but I've been a Dodger fan too long to accept being in a good position at face value...

Re: Official 2013 Games Thread, In honor of Orthopedic Surge
would be great to sweep here...again.
question:
what do you guys think of Hanley's defense?
I'm trying an experiment to see if I can gauge how good his defense is without using fan graphs metrics.
I'll check them at some point.
thoughts?

hanley's defense sucks. fangraph, baseball-reference, or any other stat generating sites all agree that hanley is just not a good defensive short stop. the problem is, he is absolutely atrocious at 3rd defensively.

good stuff Kenley.
Kershaw with win #10.
it's important to me that we play well this series vs. Cincy....a playoff caliber team.
