Stripling can't make it through 4.
smfh

I don't think he was bad tonight either.

Missed Action

Post#603 » by Ranma » Thu Apr 21, 2016 12:34 am

Quake Griffin wrote:I missed his first AB.

I think you missed the first 4 innings of last game right?
He hit the exact same shot yesterday...foul.

Extremely frustrating and tantalizing for Dodger fans who want some offense now.

Yep. I also missed the first 2 innings of this one as well. I heard the Dodgers telecast said that he did it again, so I assumed Seager missed it earlier today as well, but I guess they were referencing his shot yesterday. Thanks for the clarification.

Stripling does seem to be pitching well but our offense is temperamental again, but from what little I've seen, we've had some close calls on opportunities today.

Im just gonna get over this already, prep for the Clipper game and tell myself that Turner and Seager wont continue to [not] hit like this.

And Turner has a GB that beats the shift as soon as I write that.

Somebody plate him.

Adrian Gonzalez Looks Like a Winner

A-Gon ties the game with a mighty swing of his lumberstick. He's the modern-day Paul Bunyan.

Steal or No Steal?

Post#609 » by Ranma » Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:40 am

**** was caught in a rundown but hard-charged his way to 2B for the safe call. The play is under review but it's awfully close.

Update: Upon review, the play is ruled he was safe. The telecast lauded **** for running on the inside of the base path to make the play more difficult for the defense. Heady play to make the most of a bad position by the wild banana.

Dodgers' Defense in Atlanta

Post#612 » by Ranma » Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:51 am

Kendrick continues to look good in LF and Utley has been particularly spry at 2B today. Seager, on the other hand, just had his bacon saved by Gonzalez on that throw from SS. Seager's move to 3B is an eventuality.

Seager the Shortstop

Post#615 » by Ranma » Thu Apr 21, 2016 2:14 am

He's alright, but he's definitely better than Jimmy Rollins defensively as well as offensively, so he's at least an upgrade to what we had previously.

Joe Blanton coming through in the 9th.

Nobody has a haggle with how Doc played the top of that 9th?
Oh well...
top of the order up...let's get this done.

Still on HoneyMoon with Roberts

Post#620 » by Ranma » Thu Apr 21, 2016 2:39 am

I've disagreed with a lot more of Dave Roberts' calls of late, but I'm being open-minded in letting him experiment this early in his managing career before I start criticizing him regularly.

Update: Utley comes through again with a hard liner to lead off the top of the 10th inning. I absolutely love Chase's energy and aggressive baserunning. Dude just stole 2B trying to get something started for us. Come on, Corey.
