I'm glad he didnt give into Story in that long at bat but you're right.

Thank you Cargo for putting on that garbage ass bunt with 2 outs. Much better than having to deal with your power.

Puig should look to steal here. the Rockies catcher has a good instint and throw but the pitcher has a hole with a slight pause in his slide step.
ehhhhh f it.

Puig killing it with the steal and then getting 3rd on the bad throw.

fly ball can bring him in now.
do it Yas.

we would have been better served if Yaz bunted.

damn it.

on the pitch Puig stole the second and eventually ended up on third, Gray did not have the same pause in his delivery so puig stole that all by himself but up until then both in his full wind up and his slide step, Jon Gray would pauze for a half a second after he commits to the homeplate and before he would continue with rest of the delivery. great steal and terrible job by the dodgers to bring in a sure run.
ehhhhh f it.

I dunno if he's ever coming back fam.

Every time he's supposed to be back, it's another set back or more bad news that's going to take more time.

if Ryu is back healthy tho, our rotation suddenly becomes solid. if Ryu and MacCarthy comes back healthy, we have surplus of above average starting pitchers in every spot.

Kershaw-Maeda-Ryu-MacCarthy-Kazmir/Anderson/Stripling/Bolsinger

and Alex Wood in the pen, suddenly everything looks awesome.

LOL at kazmir not giving up anymore runs for 6 outs.

I believe he'll get comfortable in at some point and throw better but I dont trust him further than I can throw him right now.

Hatchet Job

Post#660 » by Ranma » Sat Apr 23, 2016 3:59 am

Hatcher with another fastball that misses Grandal's target low for a 2-run triple with 2 outs still. Dude still doesn't get that being practically a one-pitch pitcher isn't going to cut it no matter how hard you throw. How can he not learn anything from last season? If he's having problems with his off-speed and breaking stuff, he should have been more prepared by now.
