well, this weekend is a first for many things for the dodgers. Alex lost his first game, and now Kenley just made his first blown save.

at least Bellinger belted his 27th.

and I want Dave to stop throwing Kenley out there for 5 out saves. Andrew needs to go out and get Reed and Blevins, or Justin Wilson and get this multi inning saves outta here.

These 4-5 out saves is postseason stuff. Can't keep throwing him out there for those types of saves because we don't have a setup man. Go get a setup man.

that means if we go 32-31 for the rest of the year, we will still win 100 games.

we are gonna go way beyond the 2016 Cubs and their 103 win season. book it!

Seeing Grant Dayton in the 6th just reminded me how much we relied on our pen last year in response to injury. We carried 8 bullpen arms for a while.

Just thinking out loud.
A potential consequence if the Kershaw injury.

it was that damn 4th inning with two outs already, giving away that walk which ended up sparking that 2 run rally.

that was all on Ryu, it seems his stuff is about 90% back, but his aggressive mental approach has not. he seems unsure at times, sweating buckets and looking a bit off with his control all night, even when he was striking out guys. he had 5K in 5 innings, which is good, but IMO he gave up 3 more hits than he should have and that 1 BB in the 4th killed him.

still, 5 innings, 2 runs given up, had a chance to win until Dayton blew it.

oh and as far as Dayton, I was never a believer in him. his minor league stats didn't overwhelm me even when he was looking like a sure thing last year. I knew he was gonna crash the same way Ravin did. we should consolidate the pen and trade away Dayton, Ravin, and Hatcher while teams like the Nats who are still looking for bullpen help if we can get anything out of them.
