Lester looks a bit like Kershaw last game but he's not Kershaw... I think we'll touch him next inning if they don't pull him.

I tend to agree that Maddon is overrated. His management in the WS left a lot to be desired. The players won that.

Plus he’s had super analytic front offices feeding him information. You dont rly know how much of that is him or Andrew n Theo.

Christ we weren’t even close to catching Baez.

Stolen Base on Hill and Wild Pitch

Post#728 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 16, 2017 12:28 am

Well, that escalated quickly. Runner at 3B with only 1 out. Thankfully, Bellinger fielded that hard grounder to 1B perfectly. 1 more out to go.

Bad Call

It was a questionable call because the ball caught the strike zone on the telecast. The ump even seems to be friendly with Puig so I don't even know what is going on. Thank goodness we got out of that inning unscathed.

Lester Pestered

Post#739 » by Ranma » Mon Oct 16, 2017 12:41 am

The TBS broadcast team thinks Lester is ailing after that fall from his bunt attempt. They describe him as having an impingement of some sort. He's pitching on short rest and giving up walks and hard-hit balls in play.

I initially thought Turner should have scored but the 3B coach seemed to stop him suddenly, which would explain why he slipped and fell on the wide turn around the base. It was a strong throw from the outfield and if it was accurate, Justin would have been out.
